AirPods Pro 2 New Hearing Features: In the News
November 20th Update:
Unfortunately, the hearing test and hearing aid features are not supported in Canada, although they are available in many other countries. The hearing protection feature is available in Canada.
Lately, there's been a lot of conversation surrounding hearing in the news, and honestly, I'm excited about it! The current hearing health statistics among Canadians are quite concerning; a significant number of adults experience hearing loss without even realizing it. Unlike routine eye exams, very few people prioritize regular hearing assessments. Instead, many tend to seek help only after struggling with their hearing for years. As a result, they miss out on potential years of better hearing. Wouldn’t it be great to change this narrative?
How does this connect to Apple? Apple is making strides in providing accessible hearing healthcare through a recent software update for the AirPods Pro 2. The new features include hearing protection, amplification, directionality, and noise reduction.
If you're facing hearing difficulties but aren't quite ready for hearing aids, these enhancements could be beneficial to check out. If you've already had a hearing assessment, you can upload your hearing thresholds directly to your phone. I'd really appreciate hearing your thoughts!
